Russell County Democratic Committee

Committee members are Democrats who are registered voters in Russell County and subscribe to the principles of the Democratic Party. They do not intend to support any candidate opposed to a Democratic nominee, and will not participate in the nominating process of any other political party.

Per Section 10.8 of the Virginia Democratic Party Plan: "It shall be the duty of every local Committee, as well as each officer and member thereof, to seek the registration of voters, to perfect the Democratic organization within the county or city, and to do all within their power to aid in the victory of the Democratic Party's nominees in all elections."

Democrats registered to vote in Russell County are eligible to apply. There is a $10 voluntary filing fee, payable at any committee meeting.
