On January 5, 2024, the Russell County Democratic Committee unanimously passed a resolution of non-support for any private landfill at Moss 3 and urges the Board of Supervisors to take immediate action to stop any such development.

We believe a private landfill at this site would cause irreparable harm to our environment, our citizens, and our communities in Russell County.

We call on all elected officials to listen to the voices of Russell County residents and act to protect our land, our water, and our future.
